Hemakshee (“Hema”) Busviah
General/ Finance Manager
Hema is a qualified accountant and has ten years of experience working within the accounting and finance space. She co-founded Samy Care Services ACT alongside her husband and oversees the finance department of the business, whilst ensuring the company adheres to its compliance standards set by various regulatory bodies. She is committed to making a positive difference in people’s lives by combining her strong attention to detail, passion for numbers, problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
Hema holds a Bachelor of Accounting degree and an advanced diploma in accounting. She is an Associate Member of the Institute of Public Accountants (IPA).
Kristina Banas
Program Manager
Kristina Banas is a dedicated Program Manager with a strong commitment to empowering individuals with disabilities to lead fulfilling and independent lives. With over five years of experience in the disability sector, Kristina has successfully developed and managed programs that enhance client empowerment and promote inclusivity.
Kristina earned her Bachelor of Nursing degree in the Philippines and worked as a registered nurse for eight years in the community sector before moving to Australia. She furthered her education by studying for a Diploma in Community Service and Alcohol and Other Drugs at CIT. Her leadership skills and deep understanding of the challenges faced by individuals with disabilities, as well as those dealing with alcohol and mental health issues, have enabled her to create innovative programs that meet the unique needs of community members.
Central to Kristina’s approach is her dedication to person-centered care. She works closely with clients, families, and support teams to design and implement services that align with individual goals and aspirations. The programs under her leadership have consistently received satisfaction ratings and have made a significant difference in the lives of many.
We are fortunate to have Kristina leading our disability services programs, where her vision, expertise, and passion continue to drive positive change and leave a lasting impact.
